Baby Shower Gift Do's & Dont's

Beebies Ambassador Kerry tells us the Do's & Dont's when buying new baby gifts.

DO get something for mum. Some chocolate, a nice pampering treat.. she is probably not going to feel pampered for a looong time, but this will urge her to take some 'me' time.

DON'T just buy size newborn, most babies will grow out of it pretty quick and probably won't get to wear half of the things it has. Bigger is better, they will always grow into it.

DO take into account the time of year when buying clothes. If you buy size 3-6 months and baby is born in December, a short sleeved outfit will be much more useful than a cute snowsuit…

DON'T buy something that isn't necessary. Try to find out what is still needed, it is not always useful having 3 baby baths.. then there's the game of trying to get rid of them without offending anyone, awkward all round!

DO think of future needs. While a baby doesn't need a highchair right away, that first 6 months will fly by and so it would be a gift parents are grateful for.

Do you have any tips you'd like to share?
